Helping clinicians remember what matters.

Niblo Health is developing Niblo Loop, a purpose-built clip-on clinical wearable designed to help healthcare professionals capture, remember and complete time-sensitive tasks — without relying on memory, handwritten notes or a phone.

The clinical challenge

Busy shifts create a heavy cognitive load.

Clinicians manage observations, medications, reassessments and follow-ups while responding to alarms, new patients, phone calls and constantly changing priorities. Many time-sensitive tasks are still managed using memory, handwritten notes or general-purpose technology.

01

Constant interruption

Clinical work rarely follows a straight line. Tasks are interrupted and priorities can change within seconds.

02

Too much to hold in memory

Important follow-ups often need to be remembered while the clinician is already managing multiple competing demands.

03

Tools not built for the moment

Phones, apps and written notes can require extra steps when a clinician simply needs to capture something quickly and keep moving.

Capture the task. Get the reminder. Close the loop.

Niblo Loop is designed around the way clinicians actually work: fast capture at the point a task arises, a discreet reminder when it matters, and simple voice playback to recall the original task.

1
Record a voice reminderFor example: “Room 4 observations in 30 minutes.”
2
Receive a discreet alertWhen the task is due, Niblo provides haptic vibration and a visual LED cue.
3
Tap for voice playbackThe clinician can hear the original recorded reminder and immediately recall what needs to be done.
4
Complete and close the loopThe workflow is designed to help clinicians return to time-sensitive tasks and complete them.
Designed for healthcare

Built for interruption-heavy clinical settings.

Niblo Loop is being developed for clinical environments where staff manage multiple patients, time-critical follow-ups and frequent interruptions.

A

Acute & emergency

Acute wards, emergency departments and high-acuity care settings.

P

Perioperative & procedural

Theatre, recovery, day procedure and outpatient environments.

C

Community & aged care

Mobile and distributed care environments where simple reminders can travel with the clinician.

Clinician-founded

Developed from frontline experience.

Niblo was conceived from direct experience of the cognitive demands of clinical work. Founder Leasha Sydes has worked in nursing since 2014 across multiple care environments and is developing Niblo Loop to address a problem repeatedly seen in real-world healthcare: remembering and returning to important tasks amid constant interruptions.

Current stage

From clinical insight to functional prototype.

Early-stage development

Niblo Health Pty Ltd is progressing Niblo Loop through early validation, technical development and prototype planning. The next stages include functional prototyping, usability testing, regulatory strategy, manufacturing planning and structured clinical validation.

Product status: Niblo Loop is currently in development and is not available for clinical use.
